Chelsey Dubiel is an award winning writer, director and producer. She grew up in the rural farm town of San Miguel, California. Combining a strong visual sense, a background in dance and a whimsical, yet analytical perspective on the world, Dubiel makes films that are graceful, engrossing and strive to push cinematic boundaries. She is an outspoken advocate for gender equality and currently works with Oakland based, Camp Reel Stories, where she creates and teaches film workshops to women and teen girls. In 2015, she received her MFA in film production and directing at the UCLA School of Film and Television.
